An antique Edwardian (c. late 1900s) two piece dress set. The top has lace trim, and a double layer front bust with fasteners (snaps and hook and eyes) on both layers. The top also has a couple straps that dangle from the back waist, one with a belt-buckle-like fastener (the other may have had a similar fastener at one time). The skirt has gathering on the back waist which gives it some fulness, as well as hook and eye fasteners in back. Both pieces are made from a semi-sheer windowpane cotton fabric with a floral print in light green. Both pieces also have pintucking and inset lace.

Skirt: 

Waist: 28" (my model has a 24" waist, so works for smaller if not right at your natural waist; another tuck could also be added if wearer wanted to make waist smaller)

Hip: open

Length: 37-38"

Condition: Very good. Small tuck on the back skirt waistband, added by a previous wearer to aid fit. Rusting near fasteners on interior bodice--not visible from exterior. Some areas of very faint yellowing on the skirt that are not noticeable because of their faintness, the floral print, and the fullness of the skirt (see close-up). These lightened but didn't lift completely with spot treating. Set has been cleaned. Set presents as excellent.
