Unisex belt buckle - belt buckle hand casted by Terry Martinez with a greenish blue spiderweb natural new lander stone. It will fit a belt up to one inch wide.

New Lander Turquoise is in fact a form of chalcosiderite rather than turquoise but it is considered a type of turquoise because of the similarity of it to the lander blue turquoise. After polishing, it usually shows black spider web matrix on yellow orange and green chalcosiderite. Today, jewelry makers are seeking after real new lander material because of it's thin black matrix as opposed to typical coarsely webbed material.

Artist:
Terry Martinez has been actively making jewelry and selling his art since 1976. Born in the blue water, New Mexico, and living now in Arizona, Terry comes from a large Navajo family of a long line of silversmiths and artisans. Known in the Southwest for his work with traditional methods like the labor intensive gold and silver sand cast process, developed in the 1800's, Terry also uses heavy stamp work and plate rolling to create his unique jewelry and silver bowls.

My Philosophy:
I choose every piece of jewelry based on the value of the stone. Unlike most of the Turquoise on the market, the stone has to be high quality (not stabilized, not color treated and not reconstituted).
I also love jewelry with unique character and great craftsmanship. What this means is that you are getting jewelry that is a showstopper and not to mention a great investment.
